This month our Eagle Scholars juniors visited U-M Ann Arbor Rory and Michigan State. The kids got a real feel for campus life and they made the most of the endless buffets.
The highlight was meeting up with our alumni: Evan Smith, Skyy Arnold, Bryan Lopez, Bethany Carter, Cassidy Howard, Darielle Floyd, Trinity Walker Boyd, Gabrielle Stange, Ameris Waterson, Ariana Strong, Karli Patrick, and Jenac'y Cardwell. They are doing well, they are confident, and several of them talked about how much they appreciated the rigor of their Honors and AP classes at Thurston.
These visits were a good reminder for our juniors that our graduates can thrive at top tier universities.
